Hike #1, 2011

Each year my goal is to hike more than last year. So this is Hike #1 in Rocky Mountain National Park. It was 28 degrees and windy...but gorgous! We have never hiked in snow before. This is Bear Lake and the area leading to Emerald Lake.

Stanley Hotel Adventure

Vern and I spent 2 days at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, CO. It is known to be haunted! We went on the Ghost Tour and learned a lot of history of the hotel, the Stanley Steamer, room 217, and the life of FO Stanley and his wife Flora.

Cancun Vacation, March 2011

I had the opportunity to vacation in Cancun with a nurse I work with at St Joseph Hospital, Cindy Morgan. We stayed at the Royal Sands.

The crystal clear Caribbean was awesome, but so was the pool, our noodles, and water aerobics with "Pepe".

We spent one day at Xcaret where we enjoyed wild life, Mayan ruins, snorkeling in the underground river, and the night show of Mexican history and Music.

We also sailed on the "Captain Hook" with Captain Jack Sparrow. We had Lobster and Steak, and quite the pirate show put on by the crew of our ship and the "Black Pearl" Who would have thought I'd be part of the show...

And our views were dynamic, breathtaking, and soooo relaxing! See the huge sea shells I am bringing back to my grandchildren...
